KEY WEST FISHING REPORT - April 13th 2010
I lead a very successful combo charter aboard the Coolcast today. First, we headed offshore to nab a few Sailfish. After that, we headed into Key West Harbor with the incoming tide to fish for Tarpon. My group also nabbed a couple of these great fighting gamefish.
This is an excellent time to join us for some offshore fishing from Key West, Florida: The weather has warmed-up, the Gulf Stream is flowing close to the reef, the Sailfish are migrating, and the winds are blowing from the east. You will always remember fishing for the trophy billfish, the Sailfish, in the Florida Keys.
At the end of this month, be sure to join us for the Permit spawning period. We'll head out to the reef to fish for these feisty game-fish with light tackle spinning reels. This silver-scaled fish bites well on green crabs. Permit become especially active at the reef south of Key West during the full moon.
Good anglin',
Capt. Damon Santelli
