KEY WEST FISHING REPORT - May 29th 2010
If you are looking for some variety on a fishing excursion in Key West, this is the time of year to visit and book a charter with us. You can choose to visit one bountiful area, or select a mixed charter, where one of our captains will transport you to different locations to try your hand at two different types of fishing. That really is the beauty of fishing from Key West; you can go deepwater trolling on the Atlantic side, hit a teeming wreck or reef, fish the channels of Key West Harbor, sight cast in the saltwater back country shallows, or even follow behind a shrimp trawler in the Gulf of Mexico.
While deep sea trolling, our charter groups have been hooking a variety of great game species at varying depths, including Wahoo, Sailfish, Blackfin Tuna, and Mahi Mahi. Inshore, the Tarpon angling has continued to be excellent in the harbor and both Mutton Snapper and Yellowtail Snapper have hit the peak of their spawns.
Good anglin',
Capt. Chris Garcia
