KEY WEST FISHING REPORT - August 7th 2010

The fishing off the Atlantic reef south of Key West has continued to be inundated with Yellowtail Snapper and Mangrove Snapper. These delicacies have been extremely active during their summer spawning season. This is a great time of year to book a charter with us to experience the constant action of light tackle angling.

Our charters have also seen plenty of success fishing for big sharks out at the deepwater wrecks. Bull Sharks and Lemon Sharks can often be caught stalking prey around submerged structure. We've also caught these predators in the saltwater flats of the back country.

On the Gulf side, our clients have been pulling in ample Snapper and Grouper, especially the larger Grouper referred to as Goliath Grouper or Jewfish.

The Tarpon fishing continues to remain hot, so come on down and catch one of these monsters while they are still in season. Fishing for these sport-fish, which often eclipse one hundred and twenty pounds, is an exciting experience.

Good anglin',

Captain Chris Garcia
