OutCast: Captain |
For the last 15 years, Captain Damon Santelli has been fishing the waters of the East Coast. From Cape Cod all the way down to Key West, Captain Santelli has experienced the variations and the differences in species as he caught fish in many different areas. However, in 1998 it was time to enter a new phase in fishing. Captain Santelli teamed up with Captain Logan to create a highly successful commercial fishing operation.
For the last eight years, Captain Santelli has used all of his experience to build a relationship with his clients and the waters of Florida to become one of the best Charter boat Captains in the area. You can trust his experience to ensure that your next fishing trip will be the absolute best when you travel on board the Outcast with Captain Damon Santelli.
The Outcast is Captain Santelli's 28' Whitewater fishing boat. This beautiful boat is powered by twin 200 hp Yamaha Outboard engines. You will find everything you need on board to enjoy your fishing excursion in style. In fact, when it comes to necessary items you will only need to bring a few things.

All equipment is provided, free of charge when you fish with Captain Santelli. However, if you are experienced and have your own rod that you would like to bring, he encourages you to do so.
The following items are recommended by Captain Santelli when embarking on a fishing trip on the Outcast:
- Polarized Sunglasses (these will help you to see under the water)
- Sun Screen
- Comfortable Closed-toed (no open shoes or flip-flops) Shoes that will not Mark or Skid
- Food for Lunch and Any Beverages
- Pants and a Long Sleeve Shirt (these will provide safety from too much sun)
- A Visor or Hat

Rates:
Full Day: $850
3/4 Day: $750
1/2 Day: $650
Beginning May 1, 2008 my rates will go to $675, $800, and $925
due to the cost of fuel.
RATES FOR GUIDES:
My rates are $650 for a half day and $850 for a full day. You might find a few guides at 500 or $550 for a half day, even less. Here in Key West guides are not hard to find, GOOD ONES are. There are many part-time guides with other jobs as their primary source of income. There are also hired captains who don't own the boat they are running. Basically, they're learning their way around the ocean on your dollar. My guess is that you'd want a guide that fishes FULL TIME and is on the water 4 or 5 days a week during season and knows where the fish are (or works very hard to find them). As I said a guide is not hard to find, GOOD ONES are. The old saying 'you get what you pay for' truly holds here. You'll find my rates are consistent with other top-notch guides in Key West.
