Key West Tarpon Fishing In February

While its not tarpon fishing season in Key West the weather conditions have allowed for great Tarpon Fishing. Occationally in Key West we get a warming trend that push the Tarpon into the harbor looking for warmer temperatures. It appears that this year we have a mild enough temperature to kick off our tarpon season early and if the weather keeps up this will be the perfect time to book a Tarpon Fishing Charter. The Water temperature earlier this week was 77 degrees a full 8 degrees warmer than usual making the fish believe that summer is on its way and making Tarpon Fishing great in Key West.

We are hoping that these conditions continue and while the changing temperatures with next weeks front should slow down the fishing a bit it looks like the rest of this winter will make for some great fishing. These conditions have also helped our flats fishing catches as we have been pulling permits out of the water all day.

With these great weather conditions we are expecting to fill up our Fishing Charters fast so be sure to book early to ensure that there is no delay in ensuring you get the perfect February catch.
